The room was unexpectedly bigger than in other hotels in Japan. The personnel was super polite and helpful. There was some noise due to water or AC systems on our side of the building, so next night the personnel allowed us to try another room on the opposite side and keep the keys of the first room just in case it would occur better. There was a complimentary breakfast which was so nice to have. The location is the best: close to the station from one side and the supermarket on the other side where the prices are much lower than in 7/11 and assortment is diverse and great. The location is peaceful as well.

Great location, very close to the train/bus station (so it's convenient for catching an early bus to Oku-Nikko). There is also a big supermarket nearby. Check in is possible until 11:30 pm (later than some other places in this area offer), I arrived just after 11 and it was fine. Spacious room, I could see some mountains from my window. There was a small breakfast - it was just an egg, salad, bread and jam - nothing fancy but it was nice that it was included in the price. Luggage storage on the checkout day was not a problem.

The staff of Nikko Station 2 were exceptionally helpful and hospitable, even helping me maya reservation at a nearby izakaya. (A later hotel had posted signage saying staff would not make any reservations.) The location was ideal for us, about 6 minutes from the station and buses, and close to a variety of restaurants. The shrine was a straightforward easy walk from the hotel. Our room looked on yo the mountain sunrise which was spectacular.

The staff was very friendly. Overall, the hotel seemed very new. Everything was clean and all appliances in very good condition. The rooms are simple but have everything you need and also enough space for your luggage. I actually liked the minimal and clean look. The hotel also seemed to care about sustainability as there was less unnecessary plastic compared to usual Japanese hotels. The location was great as well and easily accessible.

Great location, only a few minutes walk from the station. It's also near the grocery store to get some cheap bentos. There's a microwave on the first floor you can use. The room was very clean. The staff was very nice and were able to provide us whatever we needed. Free breakfast included. We were on the 4th floor, which had a beautiful view of the town and the mountains.
